Active Filters
Joachim Köppen DF3GJ ... Kiel, July 2016
Some brief explanations
- This tool is the JavaScript version of the article Active filters: part 12 Short cuts to network
design by R.R.Shepard in Electronics Aug.18, 1969, p.82
- The filter is built by a number of second or third order sections, whose resistors and capacitors
are computed by this tool. By clicking on the associated radio button one choses whether the resistor
or the capacitor is fixed to the value in the input field. One may set all resistors or capacitors
to some fixed value.
- After entering a value in one of the fields, hit the Enter key or the compute button to get the
results
- Use k and M for kOhm and MegOhm, and u, n, p for micro, nano, and pico Farad.
- The plot shows the frequency response of the filter.
