Radio Continuum Surveys

This applet shows the results of several all-sky surveys, e.g. at 408 MHz by Haslam et al. (1982) with the 100 m diameter radio telescopes at Effelsberg.

The data are given for galactic longitudes (from -180° to +180° usually in steps of 1°) and latitudes (from -90° to +90°). False colour Maps of the antenna temperature as a function of galactic longitude and latitude are shown. Also, Plots in one of the parameters can be done, for a fixed value of the other parameter. <
