My various types of spectroscopes

So far, I have constructed and tried out a number of 'machines', and I am sure that the list below isn't the final one ...

• The simple version (good for workshops)
• Another simple version
• CD on a turntable (for engineers!)
• With mirrors we may look straight
• Mk II: looking sideways
• Mk IIb: the thinner version (good for workshops)
• Mk III: a more solid one (to do photography with)
• Mk IV: transmission gratings ("if the foil comes off")
• Mk V: slim and sideways, but very nice!
• Mk VI: slim and double length
• Spectroscopy without a slit (DVD or CD)
• Design a spectroscope
